Jhoulys chacin signs minors deal with braves

I like it. He's not flashy but he's been solid his whole career being a control and ground ball guy. I'm interested in a dude who's still only 27 and had sustained success in Colorado.

Still young, some success, and minor league deal. No downside.

Really can't complain about this one. He's got good stuff and pitched well in Colorado before just sucking last season. Hasn't really had a chance to pitch away from a hitters paradise yet. Coors and Chase Field last season, so maybe a fresh start and not so much pressure will do him some good.

Hard to believe he's still only 27. Seems like he's been around forever. Good bounce-back candidate.

Worth a shot. Major shoulder concerns though and velocity dip, so it's an iffy proposition.

Love the move. Low risk, potential huge reward.

These things have a way of working themselves out. But Newcomb will at least be AAA witih a fair chance of making the rotation. Don't know about Banuelos' readiness right now, either.

Agree, generally, but never in baseball history has one team traded for 37 pitchers in a thirteen month period while dealing only four.
