Braves outfield prospect Dustin Peterson will be out for at least eight weeks after surgery on a fractured hamate bone in his left hand, according to McAuley. Injured it Wednesday.
Hamate bone was fracture that derailed Bob Horner's career for at least a year.
Dang. I'm sure the surgery is a little better since slim had it
Extended spring training.
Isn't this what derailed Jordan Schafer?
Hope for recovery, but this can be a really rough injury for a hitter.

anyway, peterson appears to be hitting well since his return. he's a guy who has gotten better and better with each stop and i'm greatly looking forward to what's coming with him. he alone could make this rebuild look a little better before long.
