Thinking the same. Not a game I'd want to play (WITH TB) if I'm AA

Heyman says now we are showing interest in Gausman.
AA has to have a set deadline on Archer and say you have till this time and then we are out.
I guess if we can get Gausman for a more reasonable cost, I would be fine with him. He'll definitely solidify the back end of the rotation. Would be a pretty solid move I suppose and perhaps Gausman would improve some in the NL
Gausman is a notorious 2nd half pitcher with elite stuff. His velo has been down this year though. But he's a great buy low candidate. I prefer him to Archer because of the cost. He needs a change of scenery. He's kind of like Folty before this year except better. Great stuff, but up and down but tantalizing potential. He's never been able to perfect his breaking ball. With the right coach who could get him to throw a good slider, he morphs into a TOR guy.
Whoever the O's are dealing it sounds like it's done and they are just reviewing medicals
Word is now the Os are reviewing medical for the suspected deal they are close on. No word yet who is going where
O's and another team are reviewing medical reports, so it's all but done.
Givens or Gausman...?
If a rental doesn't mind a rebuild and wants to eventually win a championship, but wants to stay put where they are, I've always wondered why they don't get together with the team trading them and pull a Chapman. Where there is an unspoken agreement that you go play somewhere else for the rest of the season, we'll get some prospects to help out moving forward, you get a shot with a contender, and then we bring you back in the offseason. It would seem like it would make sense to do that in those narrow circumstances lol
I all seriousness, Gooseman would likely be our 2nd best pitcher behind Folty. But that isn't a huge accomplishment in our rotation right now.
Orioles and another team are reviewing medical reports so something is probably done.
Allard+ for Gausman. I'd do that
