Angels are really the perfect team to pitch a six-man rotation with Richards, Meyer, Heaney, Shoemaker, Skaggs all injury guys that could use extra rest along with swing guys like Ramirez and Bridwell that each made 20+ starts.
With that being how Ohtani previously was used to pitching, that very well could have been a selling point. I know that was part of the Rangers presentation as that was released.

Teheran for Frazier? I’d do that. And it would save us a bunch of money too.
Agreed - As much as I like Teheran we need to clear space in our starting rotation.
But Teheran in Yankee stadium? - oof.
Morrow signing for about 2/20 with an option. That’s a lot more than the 3/24 being bandied about.
I don’t see how the Braves can afford to shop anywhere near the top of the BP FA market.
I would like to see them target one of the conversion candidates I came up with, or take a buy low shot on Rondon. Peralta was one of them and is already being converted by KC.
Boston is reportedly shopping JBJ in case they land a power hitter in LF. He would be expensive, but the Braves would have the best defensive OF in the game with that acquisition.
Neshek to the Phils, 2 years/16-17 million.
We didn't talk about Aledmys Diaz at all, though I brought him up. The Cardinals basically gave him away. I tend to trust their decisions on guys. But I think he would've been a good, low-cost gamble to try at 3B.
Just noticed on the Braves' 2018 schedule that the Mets last game in Atlanta this year takes place on June 13, and the Braves don't play the Marlins at all in the month of September -- odd scheduling.
What the hell are the Phillies doing? I just don't understand the logic here. Doesn't seem like they are close.
