hey, we get a Russia summit now
hahahahaha
Welp. Anthony Kennedy to retire. Gonna be a big ****storm coming now.
Wow. Probably a huge move to the right for the Court. Roberts will likely be the swing vote now.
Of course with McCain out at the moment, any nominee will have to make it through both Collins and Murkowski. This isn't as easy a win for conservatives as it first appears.
I really hope there is a hell so Mitch can go there

good thing the republicans have no shame and really didn't give a **** about that
Haha.
I love how they have it in front of a mid term election rather than the presidential one
There's enough to criticize there legit, don't see any need to to drive the false equivalency there
When I say the courts are rigged let me give you an example. Who remembers Douglas Ginsburg? He was nominated after Bork failed to pass confirmation. Ginsburg was forced to withdraw after it became public that he used marijuana earlier in his life. No one ever had a problem with his work. Created his own company and sold it. Professor at Harvard. Nominated to Supreme Court at 41. Oh **** he used marijuana... next. Gee I wonder how he would have voted on marijuana legalization? Gee I wonder where his replacement Anthony Kennedy sided on the issue? Oh, that right, he is a strict prohibitionist who voted for forced drug tests in schools to play sports and ruled that the government has a right to inflict harsh penalties for drug crimes because no drug crime is minor, drugs can alter mental state so the person might commit crimes to buy more drugs, and because the drug trade is inherently violent.
I am supposed to respect the courts decision when they boot people who would be pro legalization in favor of strict prohibitionists. By all accounts Ginsburg was a well qualified candidate and continued serving in federal court until 2011 so its not like he became a bum. Congress is plenty to blame but the Supreme Court could have ended this madness a long time ago.
We're going to get whoever the Federalist Society, etc., recommend, because that's how Trump keeps his coalition in line.

That this was put out by Fox news feels ominous.
Reid was a piker compared to Mitch, but he at least showed a willingness to play dirty (killing the filibuster for jud nominees, baldly lying about Romney's tax returns). Schumer is a squish by comparison. McConnell, though...I say this with grudging admiration...that dude is a straight political nihilist without a shred of decency. He'll do whatever it takes to advance the interests of the party and straight-face lie about it afterwards. He the real MVP.
