Nice of the AJC to post half a million pix of Jason Heyward....and their website is horrible.
Wife got me some spring training tickets for my birthday. Tickets vs the Nats I think? Never been down, and need the scoop on where to stay, things to do, etc...

mike minor wins arb case vs braves. gets $5.6M, team had proposed $5.1M
I was very surprised Minor won in arbitration. I figure him winning makes it even more likely that he'll be traded sometime this season or in the off-season.

THIS? I just want to be clear about what I'm in for. The mouse, goofy and all that?
It's hard for the baseball feels to hit me when it's 25 degress outside at 4 PM. But the feels are slowly overtaking my body.
You'll be right on the outskirts of Disney World. There are tons of places to stay, depending on the $$$ you want to spend. Wide World of Sports has a cost to look around if you don't have a game day ticket. Ridiculous, but true. Orlando has many chain restaurants, and sports bars. If you like that kind of thing. Kinda short on trendy places. The traffic is horrific..so be prepared to drive with your head on a swivel. Pedestrians are nuts too. Bring tons of sun screen, a hat, and sunglasses. It's a great stadium, and lots of fun, but everything is expensive. EVERY SINGLE THING.......
. . .
When B.J. Upton reports to spring training, the Braves center fielder he will wear a uniform with a bit of a different look.
For what’s believed to be the first time in his professional career, Upton will have “Upton Jr.” on the back of his jersey, rather than just “Upton” that he’s worn until now. He also has Upton Jr. on the nameplate above his locker for the first time.

It must be one of the new approaches John Hart discussed with BJ over golf earlier in the offseason.
Wake me up when it's spring training 2017.
Hart convinced him to change it so legally we don't have to pay BJ Upton 15 million a year anymore. We can just pay BJ Upton Jr. 500k.
Does it even really matter about Minor? $500,000 doesn't seem that much of a problem with some of the hacks we signed.
On another note, pumped that ST is finally, finally here.
My family is spending March 9-13 at Disney world. Our plans are to go to spring training that Thursday and we are excited. The last time I went to ST was 1990 in West Palm Beach.
MetroWest is decent and cheap ... and public.
Shingle Creek is another, albeit significantly more expensive. There's also Shades of Green if you have any military affiliation. Disney owns like 5 courses in the immediate area, too
Like kendiz said, though, there is golf everywhere.

Source: #Dodgers sign Brandon Beachy to 1-yr, major-league deal with club option for 16. Likely to start on DL as he recovers from 2nd TJ.

Greinke, Anderson are potential FAs, so Beachy could be 2016 option if healthy. #Dodgers scout Pat Corrales saw him throw multiple times.

Beachy chose #Dodgers in part because his surgeon, Dr. Neal ElAttrache, is based on LA. Could be factor late in season and in 2016.
Do the Saturday BBQ, Beer, ticket combo if you can. Includes parking and 4 Rivers Smokehouse is catering. They definitely do not disappoint.
My friend's Dad got a few of us on at Bay Hill several years ago. I'm really ****ing horrible at golf, but it was one of the most difficult places I've ever played. This coming from somebody who plays Ocean Course on Kiawah semi-regularly.
