i literally had a person tell me last night that the pacific ocean could be classified as a desert. so, i'm kind of in a have at it approach on peoples beliefs in a world where people in the white house believe in alternative facts
This is very true and not to be overlooked. I think there are some troubling things in the intersection of abortion politics and social policy, but I don't like to see that broad brush painting all of the people who stand up for those beliefs.
On a tangentially connected topic, I have seen various corners of the adoption universe up close (my two eldest kids are adopted) and while I saw some unscrupulous folks who wore the mantle of religion, I also experienced tremendous love, kindness, generosity, and aid from people of the same stripe, who lived their beliefs every day.

Thank you for bringing it up. I really think that if we glean nothing else from these challenging times, that we would do well do be diligent in our efforts to recognize love and humanity wherever we see it. It can be uncomfortable and imperfect, but at the end of the day it might be all we have.
