neither have I.. but I haven't paid much attention to the draft before two years ago.. but man.. The senior is already a long shot to make it.. then he takes a grand and **** pay to beat the odds.

Zimmerman and Owenby must have signed. They are on the Danville Braves roster.
Adell and Beck both signed for exactly slot. Wright was clearly the BPA and correct pick at #5, but it will still be interesting to follow Adell and Beck as "what if" scenarios.
I can't remember where I saw it or I'd link it, but I read an article about seniors and their signing bonuses around draft time last year. There were several examples of seniors who pre-negotiated deals in the $1000 range.
There was an Arkansas pitcher this year that no one expected to get drafted at all, who ended up going in the 10th round to the Mets. I suspect his signing bonus was somewhere in the neighborhood of enough money to pay for part of his travel expenses to his new team.
Danville roster posted at FanFest, shows that Zimmerman (5th), Owenby (12th), Simmons (13th) and Smith (20th) are on board.
I think that means that the only top ten pick unsigned right now is number 8. John Curtis. We get him signed and we can all breathe easy that we aren't going to lose our first round pick next year (which was virtually impossible anyways).
Don't know if it means more or less that he'll sign, but 24th rounder Jackson Lourie is son of Braves' team physician Dr. Gary Lourie.
Also, the father of Chase Blueberg (36th) is a scout for the Braves, Jim Blueberg.
Drew Waters and Etowah finished #17 in the final BA rankings.
Pope HS finished #9, Marist HS #27, and North Hall HS #37. T. C. Roberson (NC) - the team that knocked out North Davidson despite Austin Beck's 3 bombs finished #47.

Connor Johnstone (21st) appears in Danville team photo. This would indicate he's signed. Do I require an official release?
I say you're good.
