2021 ZiPS Projections: Atlanta Braves
-
That Acuna projection is nuts. We are in the MVP era of his career now, and hopefully he continues progressing enough to win a couple.
-
How about that projection for Shewmake?!
-
No. 1 Comps:
Acuña - Jose Canseco
Albies - Roberto Alomar
Freeman - Todd Helton
Ozuna - Gary Sheffield
Lmfao.

ZiPs loves Ozzie. He seems like the turnkey player for the team next year. If he reverts back to 2019 Ozzie, we should be in business.

What's not to love about Ozzie. He hits, runs, and defends at a high level.

I think Little King will win an MVP someday.

The projections and eyes that have seen him since he was drafted all have been really positive. This continues the trend.

Honestly, even that Inciarte projection (.254/.316/.366, one WAR) would be a pretty welcome development.

he was starting to get back to it after he came back from injury.
he's somehow extremely underrated throughout the league. Ozuna, Acuña, abd Freeman being on the team last year was part of the reason why. but a lot of people don't appreciate how great he is.

I love Ozzie but I’m always going to be a little concerned with the bat since he doesn’t walk.

What would adding Morton do to Zips for us?

ozzie probably has one more year to see what kind of hitter he is from the left side. If it's like last year, then there is likely a push to have him just hit RH.

It won’t be like last year. His wrist kept his hitting down from the left side. In 2019, he made real strides.

Pretty much just replaces Wilson's 0.6 with Morton's 2.7.

Probably.
He's still really young too.
I'm think he's going to hit. If he struggles from the left side, then I feel very confident he can be a league avg hitter or better from the right side.

ZiPS Projections added to the Payroll Spreadsheet.

Right handed Ozzie is a legitimate god amongst men with a bat in his hand lol
