I figured when Grandal came off the board that JTR wouldn’t be far behind. Marlins are said to be in substantive talks right now with 6 teams Braves being one of them.

Buster Olney:
ATL continues to be in discussions on OF A.J. Pollock, among other FA OF. If they got him, their lineup could look something like this, depending on where Acuna bats:
LF Acuna
3B Donaldson
1B Freeman
RF Pollock
2B Albies
CF Inciarte
C Flowers/McCann
SS Swanson
The Carter Stewart decision in ATL's favor means that the Braves would need to give up their second pick (about No. 62), rather than their third-round pick, if they sign A.J. Pollock, who is tied to pick compensation.
I'd be ok with Pollock depending on the money/years, would be a solid addition.
Let's sign Pollock, trade for JTR, trade for Gray/Frazier, trade Teheran and O'day for whatever we can get and sign Kimbrel if his market completely dries up... doubtful, but hey... it'd be fun
Pollock is solid if he can stay healthy, who are other possible fits for AJ?
It would be pretty remarkable if AA ends up getting Pollock at the same discount the Brewers got Grandal.
Nationals keep getting better
I could see a Pollock and JTR scenario both going down pretty close to each other. Pollock should be more durable in a corner outfield spot. Our lineup would be super RH heavy.
I know he’s had some injury issues (though I think one of those was a freak thing), but I like Pollock. Depending of course, on the contract, I would like to see him in Atlanta.
Mets sign Jed Lowrie, 2 years/20 mil.
JTR and Pollock would make for a damn good offseason.
Acuna LF
Donaldson 3B
Freeman 1B
JTR C
Pollock RF
Albies 2B
Ender CF
Swanson SS
Inject that in my veins
