I agree with Joe. This is also why I'm against sliding/diving. Uniforms need to be clean and pristine at all times.
The whole mess is obviously ridiculous, but does point out the fact that the vast majority of people these types of things *iss off are those who feel they owe nothing to anybody.
Have a little respect for those who came before you - we can all guarantee you you wouldn't have a chance to succeed without them. More than a few people from the Trump-era (including Donnie himself) could benefit from doing so. Nobody expects you to kiss their *sses, just treat them as you'd like to be treated.
Chip deleted his Twitter.
Lol.
Joe really should hang up the mic. He seems to hate everything about baseball as it’s currently constituted.
Chip and Joe's contracts with Turner carried over, even though the Braves were dropped from Turner's package.
If Turner still did all for LDS series then Joe would still be working one of them. But the broadcasting rights went to Fox and TBS alternating NL and AL every year.
It reminded me of the late Ron Santo making fun of the Cubs using pink bats when the cancer awareness project first began. A few years later, Rick Dempsey ridiculed a pitcher for wearing a pink glove. Unlike Chip, his broadcast partner threw him under the bus on the air by pointing out the pitcher's mother died of cancer and it was in her memory.
The problem is Chip knows he himself isnt a very good announcer. So he doesnt wanna step on Veteran Joe's toes because Fox probably gets tons of complaints about both.
I think they've consistently been Awful Announcing's worst ranked booth pair of all MLB regional teams for many years if not near the bottom of the pile.
Chip also knows he pretty much has this job for life thanks to Skip being so closely tied to the Braves fans. It's his job to keep unless he majorly screws it up.
The apology culture rages on.
I don't agree with the Simpson's complaints... but in no way did it need an official apology.
But that is where we are now
