This was also announced earlier today, via Rotoworld:
Astros acquired C Matt Pagnozzi from the Braves in exchange for cash considerations.
Jason Castro's strained knee forced Houston's hand. Already playing without concussed backup catchers Carlos Corporan and Max Stassi, the Astros' only other healthy catcher is 31-year-old rookie Cody Clark. Pagnozzi is en route to Houston and will be active for Tuesday's game.
Fredi's just trolling us at this point. He's up 15 games, has the division just about locked up and he's thinking, "Let's screw around with the jerks over at ChopCountry. Get me Shanks in here, I'm going to give some anonymous quotes trashing Heyward's approach to recovering from his broken jaw."

Very little for a Major league team, but Matt would've been a minor league free agent again anyway. Plus Matt has already played in the Majors and did well as a back-up. So he was a good choice for Houston given their injuries. Further, Matt came here expecting a Major league job. If you recall a lot of media talk early pretty much called him a lock to make our team. But Gattis changed all that so in the end it didn't happen. Good job by the Braves doing right by him. We just didn't have room for him here.Quote:
