Let’s see who can guess what the Braves will do. I’ll guess the obvious and say Will Smith
I’m going big and guessing Trevor Bauer.
Shane Greene
In a shocking turn of events HH is appointed assistant to AA and FF is finally traded.
Here is their Will Smith breakdown.

Most interesting part was recap of what comparable relievers fetched last season.
(NEVER MIND- Braves international pool is zero per BA) Also referenced international bonus pool money playing role in at least one trade. I think the Braves still have their pool dollars, which might come into to play with a team like San Francisco, who you would think would be exploring as many options as possible in bringing in young talent this offseason. (NEVER MIND)
Bullpen piece or two seems most likely, anyones guess as to who.
that's what Baseball America says anyway. Oh well.

Does the team have zero, or are they simply not allowed to spend it (but otherwise could trade it)? I remember there being some confusion on that point.
Edit: Just saw Southcack’s BA link. If true, that’s too bad—trading pool money they can’t use would’ve been a fun workaround.
We should just offer every 16 year old with a pulse 10k.

From the "Pen Targets" thread:
Looking at the recent returns for the best rental BP arm on the market reveals the cost to be a poo-poo platter of 2-3 prospects plus something else of value and indicates the Braves have the ammo required to get Will Smith. The sheer depth of the Braves system suggests they should be able to come off 3 marginal guys and not even feel it as a loss.
Even if the Braves don't make the top offer for Smith, they should be able to deal from the low end depth of the system to get 1-2 other guys on the list.
I left Andruw off because his kid goes to high-school in Suwannee, GA; I’m hoping he’s a Braves draft target in 2022.
