Gonna shout out Deester11 here because seeing Albies enough is proof that he is a tiny beast.
4 homers already in 12 games. Wow.
Average up to .278, too
no walks. he's pulling a francoeur on us
Albies slugging .630 is hilarious with him being 5'8".
It's going to balance out again and hopefully he can adjust from having Javy Baez like plate discipline (without being as bad K wise). But it won't be like the balancing out Inciarte saw after early last year, I think he hits 20 home runs.
I miss InciaBARELYAVERAGEHITTERte
Still no walks. Wow.
Oz>Machado ha!!
Honestly, I'm a bit concerned about the no walks. However, it's not like he's ever not shown the ability to take a walk in the minors. He'll never lead the league in walks, but I'm hoping he continues to grow as a hitter and can settle around 50 walks a year.
I just think this year with the way it's started, he's due to come way back down to earth with the power numbers obviously. No way a .352 ISO is even remotely possible full season. But when the power starts evading him, I feel he'll need to fall back on the plate discipline. Just hope he doesn't turn into another Furcal where he tries hitting everything for a homer.
He has a great hit tool. Likely feels like he can hit just about anything. I'm really not that concerned about it as this is an anomaly in his career so far.
He's hitting in front of Freeman. It would be a criminal offense to walk him. Albies will establish himself more and get some respect and walk. Right now the pitchers are challenging him.
