8/21 GDT: Seattle Mariners (63-62) @ Atlanta Braves (55-67)

Say what you want, the two rookie pitchers have kept us in games lately ...the other three have not.

Not giving up on Newk yet because he rarely gets hit hard. They T-off on Julio Folty and Dickey if they are off. Strangely Sims doesn't get hit too hard. I don't like his stuff , but he has more bulldog in him than Newk and Folty combined.

good stuff is part of it. lot's of players have good stuff but just aren't good for various reasons. for now folty is that guy.

I thought the same thing in one of the Faillies series. The inability for our starter or relievers for that matter to throw strikes is astounding. I don't care to look it up, but I would bet the staff BB% is one of the worse in the league.

I get Albers wasn't worth a ton, but giving up a guy killing AAA for cash is a little goofy. Surely we could have gotten more than $20 from a desperate team that needs a good starter.

Completely agree. Just frustrating watching Folty struggle this way considering how well he pitched for a stretch this season.

Folty is a crybaby. I wouldn't miss him if he was traded
