Maybe he can be our DH if we play this season. Julio Franco taking BP at 61 in Korea.

Completely agree. Absolutely loved his determination and the focus he brought to the game. Also loved his taking of the first pitch every at bat. Everyone knew it, yet pitchers would still throw him a ball.
I was just taking a look back at his stats. He was damn impressive. Career WAR of 48.5. Higher than quite a few HOFers. And just his longevity.
I would love to see Julio Franco back in MLB. If anyone can do it he can. If Julio had not lost all of 1995 and 1998-2000 (except one game in '99), he might be in the Hall of Fame.
he's not coming back to the mlb
he was the end of an era though. the last player to retire or stop playing mlb baseball from the original RBI Baseball for NES
Based on things I’m reading today, the players are not happy with the owners. I’m not real confident we’re going to see a 2020 season at the moment
****ing owners are gonna cost us baseball
****ing greedy ****
Imagine if we gave 23 million a year for 4 years to Donaldson now. We’d only be getting 3 (likely declining years), but paying for 4.
How do salaries work for 2020 assuming the season is canceled? What do the owners pay out? Nothing?
and they are really ****ing over minor league players
even more than they usually do
**** the owners

Giving up draft picks for free agents trending towards not being such a great value in hindsight.
MiLB players are playing a risky game. They are getting screwed by the owners and greedy MLB players.
Just another headline about MiLB players being cut. Their ranks are thinning because of greedy MLB owners and players. America's game is being destroyed. Added to the loss of MiLB players, the number of MLB players going overseas to play continues to grow.

"White Sox Release 25 Minor Leaguers"
As told milb players they won’t be paid at all but are still under contract and supposed to be staying in shape
The key for players is to understand that this is a labor dispute, not a public relations spat. Marvin Miller and Don Fehr didn't care at all about being popular and they built the strongest union in America. Once players started caring about public opinion they started getting rolled by the owners.
