Because they are responsible for feeding the leaks to MLB.
When the Braves don't suffer major consequences, yet Coppy was ousted, will folks get it then?
DING!
I bet now the first trade in the offseason will be Ozzie Albies. He doesn't fit the old school "The Braves Way" so he must be traded, just like how Wood didn't fit "take a little off, control and command over stuff" and Simmons didn't fit "go the other way".
Until John Schuerholz is put in a retirement home, the Braves will not progress anywhere at all.

Coppolella's breach of international rules is "the tip of the iceberg,'' said one source. MLB looking into infractions in multiple areas.

If I had to guess, #Braves are going to pick up Snitker's option. But that's just sort of intuitive thinking, from what I'm hearing.
Someone else in another web page wrote this about Dayton Moore!! ( We can offer Matt Kemp?)
If the Braves want GMDM, and GMDM wants the Braves, there’s not much the Royals can realistically do to prevent it from happening.
When Epstein went from the Red Sox to the Cubs, the Cubs gave them a failed pitching prospect (Chris Carpenter (no, not that one, this one)) and a lottery ticket (Aaron Kurcz).
When Farrell was traded from Blue Jays to Red Sox, the Red Sox gave them a 31-yo Mike Aviles.
I think losing our rights to sign players out of Latin America for a year or two is a given at this point. I just hope we don't lose the 8th overall pick. If we lose it then I'll have watched this team fail hard this year for nothing.
If the infractions are as serious as it sounds though, I'm not optimistic.
Darn, I was only thinking of the international draft, not the first year player amateur draft.
If it is as bad, I suppose we could lose our #1 pick this year. We won't have any Comp round picks this year right?
If there is a silver lining, I hope JS is in good enough with the MLB FO that he can sway them to not take everything.
If the penalties are bad, can the rebuild withstand it??
