Listening to Moore babble on about God I wonder is divine intervention election fraud? Roy keeps saying he will win because God is on his side but if we all have free will then would Jesus be changing votes to help him win? Jesus isn't even a US citizen. In fact he is a terrorist according to people like Moore because they say Jesus creates natural disasters on purpose.
If it's not illegal for Jesus to change votes then what if I used some witchcraft to change votes? Would that be illegal?
Also what does it say that the person who won the Republican presidential nomination was the only guy who didn't say God told him to run.
Republicans better start paying attention. The majority of this country is not on board with the shift further and further to the right. The accusations against Moore were just tip of the iceberg for that lunatic.
Back to the original post of this thread, I think Reps are happier with this outcome than if Moore had won. Big losers? Trump, Bannon and Southern Evangelicals. Hard to count Moore as the 'big' loser. He's probably better off playing the victim.
exit polls
The African-American vote according to exit polls exceeded expectation by over 5 points.
My guess there was a good bit of backlash (white and black) to (R) policy, get out the vote by (D) and a dependable candidate with an admirable record
White exit polls will explain some of yor point but from my reading the Trumps approval was as much a factor in the white vote as the deplorability of Moore.
Let it not be lost that Trump supported not one but two losing candidates in the same race.
Less than one year into his Presidency
i think so. dems are forcing their harassers out of office. most of the republican assaulters/harassers are being enabled by people saying it didn't actually happen and attacking the women coming forward. i think, as goldfly said earlier, a lot of dems (including myself) would have strongly considered voting for Kasich had he won the nom.
if republican voters in alabama cared about those things so much he wouldn't have won the primary in the first place. it was very obvious the kind of person he was and his views have been public for a while. i don't think most people in alabama saw that stuff as a negative. "evangelicals" certainly don't.
trump supported this racist, bigot, and pedo. don't forget that.
As one who believes in the sovereignty of God and personal responsibility for one's actions, that means I believe that God sovereignly ruled over this election and that all who voted are also responsible for their votes. And may Moore clown himself only from here out.
Trump is hilarious.
