I meant Ortego could cover CF and Adams could run. But I agree Hamilton is superior to either.
AA has a track record of going for strong defense, so even when you have a good back-up defensively in Ortego in CF and good speed off the bench in Adams. If you can do even better at both in one player that makes sense to do, esp. with the Ender injury. Plus if Ortego stops hitting now we can just DFA him and not worrying about losing a good back-up for CF.
If Snit needs to find the solution path to any adaptive dynamic programming problems this post-season, the Hamiltonian should be useful.
Who would have thought in 2019 we'd still be debating Adams vs Hamilton.
As long as we don't play a team with someone named Burr, picking up Hamilton is a good move.
Aaaaaannnnnnnddddddd he's starting tonight
No issues with this signing. No risk and probably not much reward, but there is a benefit that can be had. Go get em, Billy!
Snitker should start Hamilton for the first couple games, that way he can bat .700 with a HR and then we can return to Joyce/Duvall.
