i'll maintain that unless markakis is really bad, an OF won't be acquired to push nick to the bench
Still likely to be a better option than drastically overpaying for Haniger AND having Ender in his way next season when there's no doubt he's ready.
If AA wasn't willing to pay what it took to land Realmuto, why would anyone think he'll go even close to what the ask for Haniger will be - especially since he hasn't already?
I get that some folks are still a little hesitant to jump on the Pache bandwagon - but as one of those fully on it, I'm completely convinced SOMEONE is going to have to get out of his way by next spring...if not sooner.
No, he's not Acuna, but what's the problem with "unproven rookies"? He was a pretty good one. When someone's "ready" to contribute, they're ready - you don't get successful young players if you're not willing to let them play.
