Drafts aren't judged for several years out. However, when it's all said and done, I'm ultra confident that this draft will be considered a catastrophe in 3-5 years.
There's zero upside with any of our picks. We drafted a probable backup C, a utility player with no pop or speed, and a SS with questions about his bat. Those are ok selections in rounds 7-10, not in the first 60 picks.
The farm system was rebuilt drafting high upside guys like Allard (I know he hasn't lived up to the hype), Riley, Waters, Wentz, Muller, etc. This is more like Lipka, Hursh, Gilmartin type garbage.
