He's been very good against lefties in Gwinnett. 10Ks, 3 hits and zero walks in six innings worth of action against lefties.
Against righties its been 4 Ks, 7 hits and 6 walks in six innings.
My first thought was that maybe they're dropping O'Flaherty but he's actually pulled it together a bit here recently.
Its taken a while to shake things out, but both our rotation and pen look good to me now.
I think the problem with another LOOGY is that it tempts Fredi to overwork the bullpen. He brings in guys to face a hitter or two and then not finish the inning, which then requires Ogando to work yet again. Maybe they are doing LOOGY auditions, but if you have more than one LOOGY, I think a team is asking for trouble. You have to have an LHP that can work through a whole inning.

Jim Johnson to the DL. Right groin strain.
Pen right now has 4 righties (Viz, Ogando, Grilli, Norris) and 3 lefties (EOF, Cervenka, Krol).
I like having 3 lefties given that all of the starting pitchers are righties.

Fredi can't think past one hitter... if the other team is L/R/L and Fredi brings in a LOOGY, then he is going to face that one hitter and then be removed.. I would rather see him get his lefty out.. pitch around the Righty.. if he swings.. then thank you.. then attack the next lefty..
