Waters is falling apart lately, and he wasn't having a good year to start with. 2022 is a huge year for him and pache.

I think AA will have to look hard for a CF this offseason. Waters and Pache aren’t looking good.

For what it's worth, Pache has been hitting well lately.

Be nice if we can keep a big lead so we can use him some in September

I think there's an argument to be made that the "answers" are already in-house. Pederson's not about to win a Gold Glove in CF, but you can get by with him as long as you don't have butchers on the corners. Pache looks like he's adjusting enough to provide you a RH defensive replacement even if he doesn't turn into much else. If Ozuna's money is available, I don't see why you wouldn't try to keep Duvall in LF with Acuna in RF and re-sign one of Soler or Rosario to be the DH.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

I think if the season ended today you'd say you have to pick up the options on Joc and Duvall. Now, they may not pick up their part of the mutual option, but you offer it on the team side.

I worry Joc won't want to stay with us b/c snit keeps platooning him. Joc was clear he wants to prove he can hit LH.

Of Joc, Duvall, Rosario and Soler I'd be looking to keep 2 of them if I can get a one year deal. I'd consider all 4 if cheap enough, but I don't think it's realistic. I'm assuming no Ozuna. Joc and Rosario can fake it in CF.

I'm only scouting box scores and "scouting" write ups, but I like Elder. I feel like he's got a good chance to fill that 6th starter/spot starter role that Bryce Wilson was in.

Curious to see what Anthopoulos will do during the off-season, but with Morton and Smyly on one-year deals, filling out the rotation is likely Job One, but I agree with you that CF is the biggest hole in the every day line-up. With the likelihood of the DH being part of the NL equation, the Braves could carry a defense-centric CF, but that person will have to hit better (much better) than Pache did this season to allow for that.

Duvall will be back, but I think it's a coin-flip on Pederson.

Im kinda leaning to Duvall and Joc both seeking longer term contracts at this point. Think it is a certainty that AA will be in on Soler. Would like to see something of Rosario but dont want to kick over the milk bucket either.

I don’t think it’s a coin-flip that the team will want him back; I think Pederson is a Brave in 2022 if he’s willing.
