Guy has had a great season. No doubt about that. Stuff still looks good so this looks like a good move. Like him better as a setup man than closer though.

This got done pretty quickly. They are going to need a veteran in the pen and Johnson has been really good this year since he came off the DL at the end of May. It reduces the shopping list by one item. Still are going to need some LHP help out there.

I'm thinking with Krol, Paco Rodgriguez, Minter, Marksberry and Akeel Morris they might be satisfied with the current group of internal options. Plus there are a couple starters--Newcomb and Madder--who could be moved to the pen at some point next year.

He's a different pitcher when he works for Roger. The sinkerballer thing.

Yeah. I don't think he wants to pitch for anyone else. I knew he was going to resign. Just thought it was going to be 3 years.

Pretty solid. I was secretly very happy when we poached Paco. If his arm is fixed he's part of the solution.

I'm hoping Brady Feigel LHP makes it as well someone next season.

Wasn't long ago we were all calling for his head.

Good on him for turning it around.

Front office is wasting no time. It would be very expensive to find his production on the open market. Next stop: catcher?

Very smart move....his price would be high in the offseason and I think I really helped that he doesn't want to be anywhere else.
