    Bench next year.

    Schafer
    Terdo
Laird/Gattis (depending if Mac is brought back or not, unlikely though)
    Pena?
    Pastornicky

    Yes?

I'll be surprised if Reed Johnson's option is not picked up. The Braves like to have a couple vets on their bench for leadership and experience.

I think someone might pick up Schafer and see if he can be a starter.

You are probably right but with our starting outfield, Gattis, Schafer and Terdo all wiling to play the outfield, I think we should not bring him back.

    Probably won't happen though.

Unless he's not offered arbitration, that's not possible.

Since he was claimed, he's under control for 3 more years. And not on a one year contract.

Little to offer for any of them being back next year. However, Laird being under contract and McCann,s future unknown will drive who and what comes back.

That bench is disgusting. It wont be our bench either. Fw will either get someone off waivers or sign a fa like he did pena in the offseason.

Gotta resign mac next year. **** it, just give him what he wants.

I am just not a huge Pastor fan. I don't ever see his bat playing in the majors.

I agree with all this except for that bench being disgusting. Schafer, Gattis, Pena, and Pastor is a very solid bench, imo. But I do think FW will trade or sign a vet

And yes we need to bring back Mac desperately.

A bench of Gattis, Pena, Schafer, Pastor and Terdo is a good bench.

    Lots of versatility.

I agree we need to find a way to keep Mac but i think he will be too expensive to keep.

I think this is Reed's last season with us. Not basing this on one AB, but Cunningham could be our 4th OF next season.
