We face a LHP tonight and Snell who has been really bad tomorrow. So hopefully we can take advantage. My guess is today and tomorrow may be it for White. After Harris comes off the IL he seems to be the odd man out.

Maybe, could be 3-way battle between white, ozuna, and pillar.

I feel like Pillar is the Heredia of this team. Everyone seems to like him, and the dude gives it his all on the field. Ozuna is someone everyone collectively hates. And White seems redundant with Hilliard on the team (even though Hillard is a left handed bat.)

I think once Harris comes back, White will be shipped out. Once Arcia comes back, it will be decision time on Ozuna and Pillar.

Yeah / who the hell hates Ozuna? Where is that coming from? From what I understand is he’s a good dude and the young guys look up to him.

And before you call him a wife beater, yes he decked his drunk wife after she tried to stab him - and he called the cops and thus why he didn’t face any kind of conviction etc. As I was told- the wasn’t there.

No one makes more professional ground outs on the team then Pillar, so he will be sticking around.

    Are his at bats bad?

13% walk rate is great and is out of zone swing % is a career low.

As someone who wouldn’t shed a single tear if we cut Ozuna, it’s good to ask yourself.

If Player A was available for the league minimum, would you want the Braves to give him a shot

    90.2 average EV (64th percentile)
48% Hard hit rate (79th percentile)
    13% BB rate (76th percentile)
    .333 xWOBA (56th percentile)

At this point the Braves missed the boat on taking a stand with the off the field character concerns, so I don’t even factor that in.

Until a realistic improvement is on the roster, I don’t see why AA would force the issue. Are we really that excited to watch Pillar collect an extra few hundred at bats?

McHugh rehabbing at Rome tomorrow. He’s eligible to come off the IL Friday, would imagine that puts him on track to do so.

man oh man.. none of that represents who he is.. you left out the career high in K rate. and career high in GB rate... all that and we are talking about 27 events for all of that.. so 1 line drive is going to skew the numbers just like 1 pop up will.. But what we do know is he sucks and has sucked for 2 years... some cherry picked saber stats based on 27 events isn't going to fool anyone.

Talking about GB and K rates as if they have stabilized while claiming the “cherry picked” batted ball stats are meaningless because they haven’t yet stabilized is perhaps the most comical bit of analysis hypocrisy I’ve seen in quite some time.

Again, he is running a BABIP of .040. No offensive player currently on the roster is better and being blocked by him, and that won’t change until all of TDA, Harris and Arcia are back. At that point the argument becomes Rosario vs Ozuna.

Is Ozuna Derangement Syndrome a thing?
