It's cool: I thought Gary Larson was Garry Trudeau (and/or they were the same person)* until this thread, so: I learned something today.

Funniest person of my generation? Rather vague. He may not be my "generation" persay, but Bill Murray has always been my favorite comedian.

Funniest cartoonist maybe, but not funniest man. That has to go to an actual comedian, either Richard Pryor or Jonathan Winters. Winters was probably funnier all around but Pryor's best routines are in a class by themself. Larson could be a wallflower at a party.
