Something must be afoot.
I like Santana but he strikes me as being the prototypical 4A player; and yes, you have to wonder what this is leading to?
This leaves a 40 spot available, correct?
I would have rather us kept Santana up and let go of Flaherty. I think Santana brings more to the table overall than Flaherty, but I do like that Reed is getting a shot.
Hmmm..... Could be interesting.
Know its not sexy but wonder if they could be signing Cassilla?

I am not ruling out other moves soon as it's that time. But this is no surprise given the way Snit used Santana. Santana strength is not being a key pinch hitter but is providing well above average defense in LF (his best position by far) and being a very good pinch runner who can steal you a base if needed. But since bringing back Lane Adams they have more depth for that speed off the bench should Santana be claimed. However, I doubt anyone claims him and we see him and Adams both in Sept. giving us some speed to pinch run if nothing else.

On one hand, I've got to hand it to you guys, I've never seen a group of people so able to handily run a pun into the ground. On the other hand, this type of clever banter goes hand in hand with...never mind.
I don't know if this is the right thread to post this but I feel that today the Indians have handicapped themselves or tied their hands with respect to future moves. You can't just hand over a top prospect like that.
