Was watching the AJC's postgame interview video with Jason Grilli and couldn't help but notice in the background that AJ Pierzynski appears to be double-fisting, and swigging, what looks like a couple of Michelob Ultra.

A bit surprising to me considering the Braves traditionally conservative clubhouse culture (no beards, no music, etc.)

According to this article in the LA Times 19 MLB teams had gone alcohol-free in their clubhouses as of 2012: http://articles.latimes.com/2012/mar...eroom-20120320

This (http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports...-call/2023453/) article by Bob Nightengale talks about the camaraderie that is missing without the communal aspect of having a few beers, but also highlights the DUIs, deaths, and alcoholism issues.

Not that it's a particularly big deal or anything -- just thought it was interesting.

What do you think; is alcohol in the clubhouse a potential problem? Or just a way for players to relax after long games?
