I vividly remember that Brian Jordan grand slam too. That was a Saturday day game. The following day, the Braves were down like 9-3, and Jordan hit another 3-run homer to make it 9-6. We almost made a comeback against the Mets again. But if I recall, the Friday game, Javy Lopez hit a go-ahead homer late in the game too.
Forever Fredi
Sure am glad AA and Snitker kept him around and kept encouraging him to stay with it. It woulda’ sucked seeing him doing this for the Cubs or whomever we traded him to.
Ozuna’s best months are usually June, July, and August - right ? When Riley gets hot this offfense… man.
And Acuna’s spring training is almost over - and Murph is coming back…
And all of this is a good thing, because as mentioned above, our pitching has been nonplusing- we are gonna need it.
Man I was on the ‘release Ozuna’ mantra last spring. Boy was I wrong. Dude has been so much better once his legal crap got behind him.
Coppy
Friendly reminder that Ozuna barely missed winning the triple crown in 2020.

Just so I’m clear…
You think snit is great because he didn’t say Morton was terrible in a public interview? Never mind the fact snit left him in too long, it’s all good if he doesn’t say anything negative? Snit can make 2 clear tactical mistakes, but the fact he didn’t bad mouth his veteran pitcher is great?
It is pathetically obvious that a manager doesn’t throw his player under the buss publicly. It is the absolute bare minimum requirement for a professional manager. And that’s literally all snit can muster…the absolute bare minimum for a professional sports manager.
Snit is terrible at everything during the game, and this narrative that he’s some great leader of men is laughable. The fact he didn’t throw Morton under the bus after leaving him in the game too long isn’t some sign of greatness.
This roster wins in spite of snit because they are among the most talented group of players ever assembled. Nothing snit does contributes to the success of this team.
I expect the Ozuna option to be picked up with another option tacked on to be announced by the ASB.
