What's drawing people to South Carolina?
Well thats quite the leap - Even for you.
Now that the awful policy of restrictions are lifted its an easy decision for many people that left originally.
And as we move forward into the future don't be shocked when the migration trends continue in the direction they have the last two years.

Florida is never net negative and I doubt they will be since old pople move there for climate. But with the inflow of old people so goes the outflow of old people to the next life.
What we did see happen during hte pandemic was unheard of migration trends of young people. That will completely stop in the future.

That is net migration figures. Population growth is a completely different story but hard to argue with 40 year trends.
NY is completely dependent on politics. If taht ever changes we will see inflows that will shock the country.
Same thing with Cali. It would never happen but if it was ran by someone like RDS it would net inflow migration that far exceeds Florida and I think you'd agree with that statement.

I went back and looked at all of the available years of data on your link. Everything about the last 2 years completely falls in line with trends of the previous 12 years. It's an ebb and a flow with a small range of movement. Acting the last 2 years are representative any sort major trend change is extremely laughable.
