Hopefully Kelenic plays above his head for 4-6 weeks.

I kinda have a good feeling about this. I mean, Ronnie wasn't exactly lighting it up.

Most players follow a development path where they have a few good moments amid a sea of ****ty moments, and slowly start having more good moments and less ****. Kelenic might follow that trend.

I like his glove, and the metrics are positive.

Guess we gotta find out if he can hit lefthanders sometime. No time like the present.

Once the Phillies get to the hard part of their schedule they’ll fall back to 2nd place where they belong. The timing of Acuna is good bc we have Riley and Murphy coming back at least. Depending od the severity of it AA might be looking for a big bat at the deadline for RF.

The only bummer is a healthy acuna would have a shot of being back to back MVP. But he wasn't healthy of course.

Yes, Acuna can be a very dynamic player on the bases. One of the best even. But it still pales to what he can do with the bat. And with that being said I understand nobody is going to get him to change. It's something he's just going to have to realize himself. Keeping him in Atlanta on big contract probablly won't be the smartest thing to do if he's intent on destryoing his knees.
I think it's sort of ridiculous to say he can't do what he was doing. Very normal, not dangerous thing he was doing.

Phillies have the best run differential in baseball. They are really really good.

Acuna moves and bounces around like a rag doll. It's a wonder he doesn't get hurt even more often.

I agree with Encheff. Somebody needs to convince him the benefits to his career in moving more conservatively, and not like his bones are made of rubber.

Strider and Acuna out for the year
Murphy missing the first third (almost) of the season
Riley and Albies both landing on the IL this year as well as trusted RHP Pierce Johnson
