Why does everyone get a dumb nickname but Freeman?
is ** a nickname?
Honestly, Freddie's boring. Really good, of course, but good in that steady, professional, unspectacular way. By the end of the year he's going to be between .290-.300, between 20 and 25 home runs and around 100 RBI as a good-but-not-great defensive first baseman. He doesn't run fast, he doesn't hit massive home runs. He just hits his line drives to left-center. That's not a recipe for a good nickname.
Besides, "Freddie" is one of those first names that's mildly goofy enough that a nickname isn't necessary.
Nothing says, "We've given up" quite as well as "leadoff hitter Grady Sizemore" in the year 2014.
BJ is 0-14 lifetime vs Hamels.
So far it seems like our pitchers like to bounce them up to CB. I swear I've seen a ton of balls in the dirt to him
This game has all the signs of one of Harang's six-inning, 112-pitch, three-strikeout, three-walk, seven-hit, two-run Russ Ortiz special starts.
There the hbp that makes us lose Jhey for two months...
It's pouring here in Lithonia! I wonder how long before it reaches the stadium.
