    It sure is tough rooting for the team to lose. I know losing is better for the organization in the scheme of things, but I still caught myself jumping when Pence dropped Markakis' ball.

    Real fans don't root for their team to lose. After the dust settles you can realize the loss is benefiical for the future but in the heat of the moment every win is cherished.

    I don't agree with that. Winning this year serves no purpose in the grand scheme of things. Losing could possibly increase wins when it actually matters.
