LOL if you clicked this thread thinking I meant our playoff chances (I still have hope in the boys).
This thread is dedicated to predicting the Managerial Magic Number. How many more games until we clinch the Firing of Fredi?

He manages like he was fired after the 2011 collapse.

I say game 35 when we are 4-31.

Fredi said the the team is capable of rolling off 7 wins in a row...He however did not say which year this will occur. Its not about wins It is about keeping fans rolling in this year thinking their is hope

I would guess end of May at the earliest unless the team totally lays down.
We've seen textbook bad managing through the start to the season. In other words, typical Frediocy.
This team has the talent of a 70 win team, but they've done enough to win at least four of the first seven. They've gotten themselves in position to win, only to see their clueless leader help them piss those games away.
I mean yes, Fredi is dreadful, but where is the accountability for the front office that assembled this piece of garbage?

I'm not particularly bent about the team being bad. We're rebuilding, and, frankly, tanking this season. I expected that we'd suck. I really have a bad taste in my mouth at the FO's messaging, though. I felt like our collective intelligence—such as it is—was being insulted.
The other thing that bugs me is exactly WTF we're doing with Fredi at this point. I think they've telegraphed (with the one-year extension) that he's not going to be the steward of the new Baby Braves—at least, I hope they have. Why is he still in the dugout?

I'm going to guess mid-June so we don't start the new manager's clock too soon.

The earlier the better IMO. If you let him go and replace him with an interim manager like Eddie Perez or T.P. you give them basically a full 1 year try out to see how the team reacts. Then in the offseason you determine what your options are from inside and outside the organization. But if trying to go to the "Braves way" is the goal, then Eddie Perez or TP as the interim manager makes all the sense in the world.
Then fire Tosca along with Gonzalez and convince Chipper to take his spot.

I'd rather they keep Fredi to make sure the team keeps on losing. Get that #1 pick! If you're not making the playoffs then you may as well be as bad as possible.

2019 - Braves make the world series, pitching the bottom of the 8th inning in game 7 against the equally surprising foe, the Minnesota Twins... The Twins are up to bat with two guys on, two out... Fredi (the manager that never leaves) leaves All-Star Closer Vizcaino on the bench to support his extra large gut feeling of leaving the lefty (whomever) in to face Bryce Harper (who ditched the Nats)... BAM... 3-run homer... game over... and another meme of an Atlanta closer waiting to enter into a winnable game. Fredi gets a pat on the back and a hug.
Sorry guys, I just image the horror in the future.
