No Dansby Swanson -- likely needs a break since he's already played a career high in games this year.

Yeah he's not young or anything like that. Played in three games in a row and the kid needs rest?

To be fair, I'm not playing, I've watched all of three innings this series, and I've otherwise been merely checking the boxscore, but I'm exhausted by the Zombie Expos at this point.

Speaking of attendance though. Last night was the 3rd best Friday of the year for the Braves. The only two to beat it out were the 4th of July weekend Friday and one when the Cubs came to town.

So you're saying Swanson has helped attendance?

Would have to analyze it considering the typical august boost.

Would seem that way. The tuesday before isn't at the top of the attendance list for day of the week like the last few games have been.

That inning had Jenkins throwing harder than I've ever seen from him.

Seeing Swanson hit 8th his 3 starts makes me think snitker doesn't want Swanson up at all. Maybe being a AAA manager made snitker mad that dansby skipped AAA altogether.

You may have a point but it's something I never even considered. I'd like to think that the field manager's input would carry significant weight when the front office makes these types of decisions. I'd also like to think that Snitker is sufficiently professional that he'd want to take maximum advantage of whatever players the FO puts under his direction.
