Great start from Newcomb. Hopefully the pen can close it out for him.

Yes, and at least Culberson will be in AAA and be the next man up if someone gets hurt. That’s my point.

Sss is fun with him. He basically has the stat line we said we could get from that 3b from the rays.

Look at him and think he’s Jose peraza all based on avg and speed. Instead he’s a slugger

I think you can do a lot worse than culberson as your first utility option from AAA. Can't have that kind of depth IMO.

Both of those balls he hit are Homers in every park.

However, this new super ball they use instead of a normal baseball might make us completely reevaluate power in MLB.
I mean 20 homers aint nothing anymore. The league had more guys do that last year than any point in history. It's like the steroid era on crack.

He will hit 20+ this year. Then all bets are off between his age 22-26 years.

He’ll let him pitch the 8th and ninth. He would get a save that way.

We can find bench help if we need it. Really when I look at this team my big concern is about starting pitching. I think two of Foltz, Gohara, and Newcomb will have to have very good years if we're going to be successful. I'm actually pretty good with our starting lineup once Acuna comes up. It's not elite, but I think it's pretty good.

    Agree

Can’t help but think if the braves went 6 innings with zero walks vs a pitcher like Newcombe we’d have a separate thread about horrible approaches

Nothing warms my heart more than a young player that actually warrants the excessive praise thethe heaps upon them.
