They pull the trigger? At Chicago or wait?
And who goes away? The Borg?
Does Tuck ride the pine?
I'll hang up and listen.

I could actually see them waiting a bit longer to let him get his feet wet because he started so slow.
I don't want them to do that, though. BRING HIM UP.
Acuna will come up the first day eligible after they gain the additional year of control.
Bourjos will be cut and Acuna will play 95% of the games moving forward between RF/CF.

It's going to be pretty hard to call him up when he's had 8 PAs and a lot of time off due to weather. All that's doing is setting him up for early failure at the MLB level.
I wouldn't call him up until the 16th at the earliest when the Braves are back in Atlanta. The Braves are 6-3, Markakis is sporting a .960 OPS and Tucker is rocking a 1.067 OPS. There is no rush.

When he starts hitting - AND Tucker stops (or Markakis is traded) - certainly not before.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
again, hope it's saturday in chicago for selfish reasons as i'll be there. but i don't think they call him up then, now. think they'll definitely wait.
It will be the home series vs. the Phillies.
Stockholm, more densely populated than NYC - sturg
This is what I am thinking too- bigger media splash, and gives him more time to get his bat going.
That said, is Tucker going to be ok on the bench? I love the idea of him being the 4th with his hitting ability coming in to PH... but is that the best for his development at this pint....hmmm..
I don't think Acuna is coming up until Tucker cools, there is an injury, or he is absolutely raking in AAA.
When he does come up, it will be interesting to see if the Braves see Acuna as a backup in CF or not. If not it will probably be Bourjous over Lane Adams.
I agree he won't be called up until Tucker cools off.
I think Lane is the one dismissed and Bourjos is kept.

i really hope not. bourjos isn't good at a single thing.

It will have nothing at all to do with Preston Tucker.
Given weather issues on the east coast, and Acuna starting slow, truthfully I no longer think he's up as soon as you gain the extra year (I should have added that in the other thread). I think as soon as he puts together a few straight good games, he comes up.
Given his talent that could be next week for the Phillies series..
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.
as soon as Acuna gets a couple hits or the team loses a couple games everyone will be baying for him to be called up

"I am your retribution."

I think it will be next week
I think it’s possible it’s much later. If aa was our gm last yr I think acuna would have spent the whole year in aa. It would not shock me to see him keep acuna down a long time if tucker and neck produce
