This is laughable watching you guys trying to defend it because Obama entered into it.
So interesting how your view on this and North Korea are completely 180.

I seriously doubt that the CIA suddenly stopped working on regime changes in countries we dislike after Reagan...especially the high profile ones like Iran and North Korea.

North Korea smuggled chemical weapons into Syria within the past year. There is precedent.

My point is that if Iran wanted to bring uranium in, it wouldn't need to be a homegrow operation, and it wouldn't take that long.

North Korea was cheating because they could. Because they had already received concessions, funds, equipment. Bush stopped adhering to the terms of the deal - which was to give them even more equipment, even more money.

Of course, North Korea used that money (extracted, by the way, from South Korea, the United States, AND Japan) to build their current nuclear arsenal.
I agree that they’re different situations as Clinton was incompetent with this, but North Korea did immediately get plutonium after the deal ended

A decent sized Iranian population is way more Pro-America than North Korean's populace.

Delusional thethe expecting the entire country of Iran to bow down to our demands overnight. Just insanity. Rouhani is a moderate there. He was way more open to working with the West than Ahmadinejad. But its hard to make any progress when thethe and trump's clan paint the broadbrush of everyone's evil over there. Which is why it's hilarious that you have an actual leader who has proclaimed destruction of the US and SK now being looked at as a sane leader and legit leader on the world stage.

I agree with you on this, with a few nitpicks.

    1. It’s a lot easier to smuggle chemicals since they don’t have an obvious detectable signal that people are looking for.
    2. It’s a lot easier to smuggle when international observers can’t enter your country.

I think it would have been possible but almost impossible not to notice.

    So your options are:

Military intervention and piss off people on the fence and make the extremism go up.

Let pro-west relations and trade there show people we arent the enemy and continue electing more moderate candidates.

The Iran deal was an investment. As managuarantano said in 20 years there could be regime change and less religious rule.

But doing somethin as stupid as trump did isn't going to help or speed that process up.

Moon extended an olive branch to Kim. Showed him the blueprint for a better way. And Kim may be insane but he did go to school in the West (as have nearly all of Rouhani and his cabinet).

Anyone who thinks Trump's tweets have magically solved the North Korean conundrum. I don't know what to tell you.

Trump has given North Korea more leverage over SK. And made Kim look like a big player now on the world stage(as well as Xi)

A good portion of the people in Iran want the regime to be taken out. Playing nice with them doesn't make them happy.

TDS at its finest. Never give him credit for anything. I'm sure SK didn't try to talk to NK during Obamas term. Why now is it working?

I don't subscribe to the belief that Iran cheated (or was going to cheat).

I'm just talking about how quickly they could obtain uranium.

Moon Jae-In has balls to stand up against the more conservative hardliners. Exactly what he did to reach out to Kim. Moon was not President then.

Netanyahu isn't going to allow any solution under his watch either.
