Braves are now tied with the Yankees for the most division titles in MLB history.

I gotta say... while I don't think Snitker is a very strong tactician, I do believe he's got the player management side of the equation down. Those who know me know I hate Fredi because I never felt he stuck for his team... I loved Bobby because of the opposite. In my opinion, baseball is the one sport where managers have the least effect on the game itself, but the most effect on the season.
From my eyes, Snitker has a team that fights like hell and seems to adore him, and, while still making baffling decisions, showed a huge willingness to embrace analytics this year when he probably had a Joe Simpson mindset towards it in year's past.
I don't see any way we can fire him after this season

Yeah. If it were up to him he would have just swept the Hart/Coppy thing under the rug. He probably would have gotten axed too but he is nothing more than a figurehead with a title and no executive power at this point. Was telling that McGuirk didn't want him to have anything to do with the hiring process nor introductory presser.
No doubt he wouldn't have hired AA if up to him.
Forever Fredi
In fairness, a lot of us were skeptical on AA's hiring because we felt he wasn't extreme enough into analytics. I guess he really did learn a bunch during his time in the Dodgers Front Office.
Can't complain with the results he's gotten and moves he's made.
Forever Fredi
Who was skeptical about AA not being enough into analytics? I have liked AA since his days in Toronto and said so all along. Honestly, I was losing interest in MLB and the Braves and initially got interested again the day I heard AA had been hired. It shocked me they'd hire someone like him after passing on Bud Black as manager. I was furious over not hiring Black and still say that was a mistake. This team won this division because of being the best in it as their record vs the division showed. When someone struggled for a few weeks like Freeman and Markakis the second half, you had Acuna, Camargo, Inciarte and Culberson picking them up. Even Swanson had some big hits despite his numbers dropping and hustled a number of singles into doubles. Plus Albies homer last night was huge too despite his bad second half.
