I don't think Snitker did that bad. The Martin thing really screwed things up and then his closer goes out and sucks it up.

thank you weso1!
Yeah, I'm trying to think, is there a worse overall corner outfielder in baseball? Markakis has to be both bottom three offensively and bottom five defensively, right? Does anyone else approach his level of incompetence among starters?

There is a better chance of me marrying one of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders than Markakis being back next year

Martin going down totally screwed things up, then Melancon turned into a pumpkin in the 9th.
I hear Joe Maddon and Mickey Callaway may be available.

As soon they go up 5-3 Snitker had to take out Melancon. This are the playoffs not the regular season.
Never post here but why was Dallas pulled so early? It’s not a pen game like this if the ace you acquired is allowed to cut it loose and go. That’s not a move I see a 40 year vet in the org making. This thing stunk to high heaven from the 5th on.

The Martin thing lost the game because Snit was unprepared to manage the bullpen without him.
Think about this... say the Braves have a miracle comeback in the 9th and tie the game and we are still out our best LHP who could throw multiple innings because Snit burned him on a relief pitcher.
Regardless of injuries and sucksge of your closer, his brain should still work when faced with simple decisions such as bringing in a lefty to pitch to a lefty batter. And it happened twice. And he failed twice. Injuries and poor play be damned, you’re still faced with routine decisions that should be correctly made. And he didn’t. Twice.
