Well, I know I personally started bandying about that accusation a few years before 2013, even, back during the gas-leak years.

It officially began around 2011, when the Nationals first started showing signs of life. But, even the years leading up to it he showed signs of infatuation.

I was getting on Dom Brown in left all night (some Phils fans were naturally getting on Justin). He definitely heard me. So when he hit that homer to go ahead, everyone was getting on me as I just sat there, defeated.
I'm sure you saw the vid that's been posted of the Phillies fans reacting to the homer. That's exactly what it was like. He hit it, and you could tell right away with the way balls carry in that park. Everyone was feeling a sense of anticipated disappointment, but disappointment nonetheless. I was obviously going nuts.
