The Chosen One (04-09-2016)
It's going to be a while before Gonzalez is fired. Frankly, no manager would win with this team currently. Not Yost, Bochy, Matheney, Maddon, Hurdle, anyone. If anything will be done, it will be at least around the All-Star Break if the team is on pace for a season of 65 wins or fewer. If this team come July is not only losing, but dead last, then perhaps a change will be made, but not for a permanent manager. If Gonzalez were to be let go during the season, Carlos Tosaca or Terry Pendleton will be manager on an interim basis with a search for a permanent manager after the season. But again, it's not happening until at least July, IMO.
Don't think for one moment that the Braves, if a managerial change was made during or after the season, would not be able to get a known name to be the manager for 2017. Any smart baseball man will see the young talent coming up in the minor league system and the new ballpark. The Braves would be able to get a known, big name if they choose to pursue a new manager for 2017.

I've always kinda figured that Fredi will take one for the company and end up shuffled elsewhere in the organization in the offseason unless he either has an unexpectedly good year this season (er...) or wants to try to get another manager gig immediately.
This is shaping up to be one ugly season. The consensus 70 win mark for this team might have been about 10 wins too high.
