Certainly I’m not talking about 1 night. Braves are just getting beat tonight. But Swanson’s bat has been dead since April. And it’s a problem going forward.

    Yeah, fo sho.

Nats are probably as good as both when right. I think the Phillies add some big pieces to close the gap considerably or all together

I still don't trust our SP... and yet, I don't want to use resources on acquiring considering we have so many young options

"Dansby sucks" is not the construction I'd go with. Let's fully appreciate that he's playing great D AND the fact that he's got a sub-.700 career OPS. Just cause he looks like he should be better doesn't mean we should buy in if he doesn't produce between the lines.

I mean, after a couple weeks in April, this season is him going 2-18 with 5 Ks, then having a multi-hit game to the chorus of "bae has it going now," followed by another 2-18. That just seems to be who he is. Fewer walks than you'd expect from a dude who seems to have decent strikes zone judgement. More Ks than a guy with his limited pop can sustain. If he weren't a 1/1 playing great defense we'd be collectively calling for an upgrade. Hell, right now we're talking about replacing a piece, in Camargo, who's been significantly better for 2 seasons.

Braves offense is going to continue to scuffle until Freddie gets it going again.

Which is what we need in an 8-hole SS. What we really need is FF to snap out of it. Since June 8th (not tonight), FF is .205/.295/.410 (88 PA) with k rate at 27.3.

a lefty hitting infielder would allow us to get the best out of Camargo and Swanson

I hope this isn’t arm trouble for Winkler. He was so nasty for while...where did that go??

Dansby needs to hit better than he has the last two seasons to justify a starting spot on a playoff team. Especially when arbitration kicks in

Pretty much everything agrees Bae can play D. Which ironically is what some thought in his minor league career was the question mark. But he’s been pathetic with the bat. Just pathetic for a year and a half now.

I’m pulling hard for the guy. He plays hard as hell. Runs hard, takes extra bases, has surprising power, he’s potentially a very exciting player if he could hit at all.

I could get behind getting a solid lefty 3B, playing Ozzie at SS and Camargo at 2b against righties, and using Dansby against lefties and late-inning defense

Isn't putting Camargo's arm at 2B sub optimal especially since most pitchers are RH? Not arguing, just asking.
