I know you're being snippy and sarcastic, but there is a huge migration north in the winter. Not necessarily from southerns of course. But October is a big tourism industry for NH, ME, and VT as fall foliage brings people from all over the world. Then of course if you live on the east coast and don't want to go to the west coast, you go to NH or VT to ski. And while you like to cite air conditioning in the south, being inside in VT and NH isn't a matter of needing to drink more water and stop being a wuss, you cannot be outside for hours at a time when it's barely getting above freezing.

Vermont's cases are spiking but their deaths are still very low. 5 is the most reported in a day. Vermont is a lower population state of course, but 5 of an estimate population of 620K would be about 173 for Florida. Of course there will likely be a spike in deaths shortly, but we're still seeing deaths lag in states that are higher vax rates.

Without looking, right now, What do you think are the 10 lowest states in deaths and how many are in the top 10 in vax rate?





OK I know no one did the research it's 6. With the outliers being Nebraska (24th in vax) DC (13th) Cali (16th) and Louisiana (45th) so at best you would say the 10 best states at limiting COVID deaths right now, most of them are higher vaccination states, Nebraska's full vax% is 56%

Now we look at the bottom 10, and where they rank.

Wyoming (49), West Virginia (51), Montana(37) , Idaho(50), Ohio(35), Alabama(48), Arizona(30), North Dakota(46), Oklahoma(38), Georgia (42)

I mean there is a clear trend. Yes seasonality plays a part or whatever, but it's not like Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, North Dakota, and Ohio are warm weather states that won't have cold winters. Been to Cleveland in December, it's still pretty danged cold there. Know people with a house in Wyoming, showed me a picture of their plowed Driveway, snow was almost 15 feet high.

So yes expect to see states like NY and NJ tumble while states like Florida and Texas rebound, but Texas and Florida are not low vaccination states.
