Your link is based on what guys did after the catch. Apples to oranges. BC RG3 put the ball in position for his receivers to make yards after the catch shouldn't be held against him. He doesn't have big physical WRers where he can just throw the ball up and let them make the play.
No, RG3 has very quick receivers that have the ability to make plays after the catch. Should that be used to prop him up?

My link is average air yards per attempt. How does that have anything to do with YAC?

Very quick? Like Josh Morgan, Leonard Hankerson, Moss (who has slowed down), Garcon?

How did that 2 of them compare on balls thrown downfield like you claimed?

Well since Kaep started he has the highest percentage of ball throws deep and the highest completion percentage. Do you disagree?

Garcon and Moss aren't quick receivers? Not everyone is Cobb.

Please show your source of those stats that show all of those RG3 completions are air yards.

So ESPN has adjusted those stats to just be in air stats?

You do realize that you are wrong right?

So why is their conflicting information elsewhere?

That to me is the resulting yardage after the play.

Kaep threw a higher percentage of his passes down the field and had less of his stats as a result of having speedier wide receivers.

Do you deny that Kaep averaged more yards in the air per throw than RG3?

No. What does that have to do with what I said?

You claim he threw more yards downfield, right? I agree, he threw 37% of his passes over 10 yards, where RG3 threw 30% of his passes over 10 yards. On those passes over 10 yards, RG3 completed a higher percentage of passes.

Unless your definition of downfield is 0-10 yards.

Who is more accurate on balls downfield? I'd love for that other 49er fan to answer. The one that knocked the Big 12 while supporting a QB from the Mountain West or whatever conference Nevada is in.

No but RG3 has a higher concentration of his passes in the 10-19 range. Still a good area of attack but if you are talking about downfield throwers than the further you throw the ball down the field the more weight it should have.

Nobody can attack a defense down the field like Kaep can. That doesn't make him better than RG3. They are just different QB's.

Im not wasting my time looking, but I'm sure there are other QBs that can attack a defense down the field.

    To repost:

    0-4 on passes 41+ yards
    2-8 on passes 31-39 yards
    15-19 on passes 21-30 yards
    25-50 on passes 11-20

Everyone remember when I told thethe that Kap > Smith and the 9ers were better off with Kap? And thethe said no way, 9ers need to stick with Smith?

    Everyone remember that?

    Good times

Among quarterbacks with at least 30 passes that have traveled 20-plus yards downfield, Kaepernick ranks first with an accuracy percentage of 60.6, according to Pro Football Focus. Second? That would be Rodgers at 53.2.

Yes, and I was wrong. I believed in Kaep I just didn't like the switch in the middle of the season. Smith is going to do well in KC just you watch.

I'm glad I was wrong BRULE.

So your definition of deeps balls is 21-30 yards? Because that is where Kaep made his mark and appears to have been the best in the league (in a really short sample) Compare the QB's when throwing the ball 30+ yards.
