This makes me so happy. I've been pretty excited for Walden to be back and the 7th inning has just been a bit of a hole for us since he left!

I don't think they can option Carpenter. They also cannot option any of the 5 bench position players so we kind of have our hands tied here. Bullpen will probably be under a lot of stress in Colorado but we can't go with an extra pitcher unless we're ready to pull the plug on the era of the Owl.
