Decisive Homefield Advantage Games have not been too kind to us.

That luck is bound to change.

I'd still prefer to have home field.

But with how bad this offense is right now, I'm not sure that happens unfortunately.

I think we take 3 of 4 from the Phillies. That should be enough.

Over LA, sure, need to win all 4 to take it over Stl.

    Cubs ain't beating them.

I bet they don't sweep the Cubs.

The Cardinals are 9-7 vs the Cubs this year. It's not like they've had the easiest time with them.

Looking at the matchups, Friday is the best bet with Wood/Lynn.

Doubtful they win on Sat or Sun.

Interesting that Waino is scheduled to pitch Sunday.

Wonder how many innings they pitch him with playoffs coming up.

I say the Cards take 2 of 3 from the Cubs. We just need to take 3 of 4 and we'll be fine. Win tonight and keep your loss in your back pocket for one of the weekend games. Friday may be the game we lose with Lee pitching so we better win tonight.

    Pretty interesting finish here.

7 results remaining (4 Braves games and 3 Cardinals games).

Whichever team gets 4 "positive results" gets HFA.

Both teams have magic number of 4.

Tonight: Hale vs. Cloyd. Hale was fine in his debut. I wish we'd pitch our main guys in order, though. Cloyd, I don't have a damn clue who he is, but looking at his numbers, if we can't hit him, we don't even need to show up next week.
Friday: Lee vs. Medlen. I doubt we'll hit Lee all that much, so hopefully Medlen is dazzling, and we wind up with a 2-1 win or something. I'd say this is our most likely loss.
Satuday: Undecided vs. Minor. If Minor could actually keep the ball in the damn ball park, we should be able to win.
Sunday: Miner vs. Teheran. I like our chances here, but who knows?

If I had to guess, I'd say we should be able to win 3 of 4, but probably will split.

I never said we'd sweep, win the series, or anything. I'm combating the people in panic mode who have already penciled in a sweep for the Cardinals over the Cubs.

Phillies do have Dominic Brown back, he's probably their best guy now. Ruiz has been in a terrible slump, but then again he's playing his favorite team.

The Phillies still haven't announced a starter for Sat?

I said Friday is the best shot for a win but they'll probably find a way to lose somehow.

Cards are 3-3 vs the Cubs in the second half, what makes you think a 4 game sweep is so certain?
