Every knockout is a concussion, by definition. A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury. If you fell and hit your head and got knocked unconscious, you'd go to the hospital and get a CT to make sure your brain wasn't bleeding. When that happens in MMA, people stand up and cheer.

Football is pretty messed up too, no doubt. And it will probably not exist in its current form for much longer. But it's deceiving (and immaterial) to say that MMA isn't as dangerous as other sports.
Ronda was never out cold though she got her bell rung several times. She was dazed for a few seconds after the kick and hitting the canvas but none of those punches while she was down connected cleanly. Her main injury today is still her pride.

But that doesn't change the fact that serious injury or death is always a possibility, even with the referee standing right there to stop it. Still the public has an insatiable appetite for this and the demand isn't going away. Boxing, wrestling, judo, karate, etc. weren't enough. They wanted MMA. We're more likely to see something even worse than we are to see it banned because it's too dangerous.

I think the best safety measure is making sure both fighters are evenly matched but it's a fine line. Dana White and his promoters want to see a butt kicking but not a big injury. I guess they are drooling at the thought of a rematch.

Of course it's touched up. She's still hot no matter what. Sh's just mainly been mostly nude in photoshoots.

You very rarely see anyone knocked out cold. Plus, these fighters get months off after a knockout. They really are protected as best they can be. You get concussed in the cage, you aren't going to fight for a long time. You get concussed in football, you might miss 1 week (or zero).

This just proves Holden is a giant pussy. These people want to fight, they know the consequences.

Yes, comparable. There are some serious hits in every game, usually involving Dbacks.

    Nope.

Objective research would tell you otherwise. Football has more injuries because many many many many many more people are playing it.

The first article discusses a guy that fought in un sanctioned street fights. Your third one (which is regurgiation of the 2nd one) stated this:

There is little empirical data, though, on its relative safety.

The study conducted by Prof. Hutchison and doctors at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto did not involve actual medical diagnosis of MMA fighters.

And the NFL has studies don'e by doctors that say it's safe too. I fail to believe a sport where people routinely get punched in the head to be safe.

If an MMA fighter gets concussed, they miss months. At most, they fight 4-5 times per year; most less than this. An NFL player gets concussed and chances are he's back pounding his head the next week. (or same game if you are Jenkins and don't report concussions)

What would you say the average number of concussions of an NFL player vs. an MMA fighter are?

MMA brain injury risk is higher than boxing

    Furthermore, from the article:
Citing data from other research, the study said the mixed martial arts head trauma rate also outpaces football and hockey.

It's time people accept the reality about this sport.
No it doesn't, and the main article you are referring to is completely flawed. For one, you can't compare total stats of NFL players to UFC fighters. About 1/4 or more of NFL players rarely see action in a game, significantly reducing their chances for head trauma.

There are studies that say football players are subject to up to 50 blows to the head per game, some of these hits having the equivalent of g-forces of a car crash. Yet somehow a fighter who fights 4-5 times per year is subject to more head trauma..... lol no. Also KO's and TKO 's in Boxing are completely different than TKO's and KO's in MMA.

In the history of UFC, there has not been even 1 serious injury or death. You can't make those claims for the NFL, Boxing, MLB, etc.

If I had to guess, I'd say concussions are much less prevalent in the NFL. Simply because there's 50 players. I'm guessing you have about a 50/50 shot in a given MMA fight to get a concussion.
