Heyman had reported back in December that he'd make 1.1 million. Regardless, I like him at either price.

I don't think as much of Norris personally. He did have a few good years but he's been bad a lot too. He rarely has a strong first half, usually best in the second half. Hopefully that flip-flops and he's strongest the first half this year as then trading him for a good return at the deadline would be easier.

It seems to me that Teheran, Norris, Wisler, and Chacin are pretty much locks for the rotation barring injury. Man-Ban seems to have the inside track on the final spot, esp. being a lefty as I would expect them to want one lefty in the rotation.

I would have liked an option on him. Anybody who has extended success in Colorado is an all star somewhere else.

Funny you say that as I thought the same when he was signed. That is how much I like him, I also started to add in my post that if he has a strong first half rather than trade him I'd consider also re-signing him for 2017. He's a solid pitcher when healthy so if you can get him cheap why not keep him around? Time will tell on his shoulder holding up but he seems healthy now.

He's got another Arb year, I just saw. Doesn't that mean if we tender we can have him at the negotiated or arbitrated price next year?

As far as I know, he can be a free agent in 2017 but maybe I looked at it wrong?
